While Pura Vida Permits was founded just two years ago, our experience in the construction industry runs much deeper. With a background in design, project management, and hands-on involvement in permitting across Southwest Florida, I bring a strong understanding of what it takes to move a project from concept to completion—without delays or surprises.
Over the past two years, I‘ helped homeowners, builders, and contractors navigate complex local permitting processes with clarity, speed, and confidence. Whether it’s residential renovations, new builds, or coastal code compliance, I know how to get things done the right way.
About Me
Hi, I'm Carla, the founder of Pura Vida Permits.
I’m a proud Southwest Florida local—born and raised right here in this beautiful coastal community. I’ve always had a deep connection to the area, and I understand the unique permitting needs that come with building and remodeling in this region.
Growing up, I spent my summers in Costa Rica, where I was inspired by the phrase Pura Vida—a way of life that celebrates simplicity, ease, and peace of mind. That philosophy is at the heart of my business: making the permitting process smooth and stress-free for homeowners, contractors, and builders alike.
I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish, which helps me serve a wider range of clients and communicate effectively with diverse teams and municipalities.
Before launching Pura Vida Permits, I spent five years in the construction industry, working in both design and project management. That hands-on experience gave me a deep understanding of how projects really work—from plans to final inspection—and how permitting plays a critical role in keeping things moving.
At the end of the day, I’m here to help you save time, reduce stress, and keep your project on track—while you enjoy the Pura Vida life.
